Dr. Zane Stevens is an esteemed Adult Endocrinologist, dedicating his expertise to enhancing patient care and advancing medical knowledge in the field of endocrinology. Currently practicing at Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town, Dr. Stevens holds a distinguished portfolio of qualifications and affiliations.

Dr. Stevens earned his MBChB with distinction, later achieving his MMED and FCP (SA) qualifications, along with a Fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism. His commitment to excellence is evident though his extensive involvement in various medical organisations and academic institutions.

As a Specialist Physician and Endocrinologist at the Cape Institute of Endocrinology, Dr. Stevens plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive care to patients with diverse endocrine conditions. He serves as an Executive Council member of the South African National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOFSA), demonstrating a specific interest in Fracture Liaison Services (FLS) to combat osteoporosis.

Dr. Sevens’ contributions to medical education are substantial, having previously served as an Associate Consultant and Lecturer in the Division of Endocrinology at both Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town. He serves as an examiner for the sub-specialisation in Endocrinology and Metabolism (FCP) with the South African Colleges of Medicine and is a founding member of the Cape Thyroid Forum MDT, providing multidisciplinary care for thyroid cancers and combined structural/functional thyroid diseases.
